Virgin Margarita
The Virgin Margarita is a non-alcoholic version of a classic Margarita, made with fresh lime juice, alcohol-free orange liqueur, simple syrup, and non-alcoholic tequila.
Ingredients
0.5 oz of Non-Alcoholic NOA - Orange Liqueur - Triple Sec
2 oz of Non-Alcoholic NOROI - Esprit-de-Mexico - Tequila
0.5 oz of SLiM - Simple Syrup -Zero Sugar
0.75 oz of fresh lime juice
Garnish: rim of salt and a lime wheel
Preparation
Prep the Glass: Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a cold Martini glass and dip it into a plate of salt to create a salted rim.
Shake: Pour all your ingredients into a cocktail shaker, add plenty of ice cubes, and shake well until the outside of the shaker feels frost-cold.
Strain & Serve: Strain the mixture into your prepared glass and garnish with a fresh lime wheel for a professional finish.
Preparation advice
If you miss the "heat" of tequila, add a tiny sliver of fresh jalapeno to the shaker before you shake. It provides a subtle capsicum kick that mimics the alcohol's bite without overpowering the drink.
Pro bartenders often only salt half the rim. This allows the guest to choose how much salt they want with each sip and prevents salt from falling into the drink and over-seasoning it.
Never serve a Margarita in a room-temperature glass. Keep your rocks glasses in the freezer. The contrast between the salt, the sharp lime, and the freezing glass is what makes this drink iconic.
