Easy to make 5 min Non-Alcoholic
FEB 20 2026BY UPSIDE DRINKS

The Virgin Piña Colada is a non-alcoholic version of the classic Piña Colada, made with fresh pineapple juice, creamy coconut milk or cream of coconut, and non-alcoholic rum.

Ingredients

60 ml (2 oz) Non-Alcoholic Captain Morgan 0.0 Rum

90 ml (3 oz) fresh pineapple juice.

30 ml (1 oz) cream of coconut (or thick coconut milk).

15 ml (0.5 oz) fresh lime juice (to balance the sweetness).

A handful of crushed ice.

Preparation

01

Combine the Ingredients: Pour your 60 ml (2 oz) of Non-Alcoholic Captain Morgan 0.0 Rum, pineapple juice, cream of coconut, and lime juice into a blender.

02

Blend with Ice: Add a handful of crushed ice and blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth, thick, and creamy.

03

Garnish and Serve: Pour the chilled mixture into a tall glass and garnish with a fresh pineapple wedge or a maraschino cherry for that classic tropical look.

Preparation advice

Most Virgin Piña Coladas are too sweet. Adding 0.5 oz of fresh lime juice is the professional secret. It provides a “backbone” to the drink, making the pineapple taste brighter and the coconut feel less cloying.

Add a tiny pinch of sea salt to the blender or shaker. Salt suppresses bitterness and enhances the natural sweetness of the pineapple, making the tropical flavors "pop."

Instead of using just ice, use frozen pineapple chunks. This prevents the drink from becoming "watered down" as it melts and results in an incredibly thick, professional texture.

NON-ALCOHOLIC EXPERT

My favorite professional trick is to use a blend of frozen pineapple and pebble ice; it creates a micro-foam that holds its shape, ensuring the drink remains a creamy, aerated cloud rather than melting into a heavy juice. It's all about creating a sophisticated, textured experience that feels light, refreshing, and incredibly indulgent.
